This year, the Pan American Games, which began on14/10/2011 at Guadalajara in Mexico, pets are Hiuchi (Doe), Leo (cat), Gavo (species of cactus blue). Sports officials and representatives of several countries of America have proposed the holding of an event that would involve all countries in the Americas. Este ano, os Jogos Pan-Americanos, que começaram dia 14/10/2011 em Guadalajara no México, os mascotes são Hiuchi (corça), Leo (felino), Gavo (espécie de cacto azul). Veja abaixo um iconográfico que mostra a foto e a história de todos os Mascotes do Pan-Americano. Nesta época já ocorria os Jogos Centro-Americanos. Representantes e dirigentes esportivos de vários países da América propuseram a realização de um evento que pudesse envolver todos os países do continente americano. A ideia de realizar uma competição nos moldes das Olimpíadas entre as Américas surgiu, evidentemente, com o surgimento dos Jogos Olímpicos.No I Congresso Esportivo Pan-Americano, realizado em 1940 na cidade de Buenos Aires, ficou definido que o primeiro evento deste tipo aconteceria na Argentina em 1942. Porém, com o desenrolar da Segunda Guerra Mundial, o evento foi cancelado, assim como aconteceu com as Copas do Mundo de Futebol de 1942 e 1946.

Halloween is a celebratory feast celebrated every year onOctober 31, the eve of All Saints. It is performed in most Western countries, but is more representative in the United States. In this country, brought by Irish immigrants, she arrived in the mid-nineteenth century.
